Join us in our quest!

Mercy BioAnalytics is on a mission to improve and save the lives of people across the globe through the early detection of cancer, when it is most curable.

We’ve developed a process which uses nano-particles that are extraordinarily abundant in blood and carry information about their parent cell – known as extracellular vesicles, or EVs – to detect stage I cancer. We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join us in realizing this vision.

A healthy and motivating place to grow.

In addition to career growth and the opportunity to deliver on an important mission to advance the promise of early cancer detection, Mercy offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:

Great pay and employee stock option plan
Competitive health benefits (health, dental, vision)
Long- and short-term disability and life insurance
Employee assistance program
Retirement savings program
Paid parental, adoption, and caregiver leave
Free parking, monthly subway pass, or a subsidized commuter rail pass
Free lunch every week and kitchen stocked with an abundance of healthy snacks

Scientist

Work collaboratively with a highly motivated team of scientists to develop minimally invasive liquid biopsy tests for cancer diagnosis.
Position Details

Mercy BioAnalytics is a diagnostics company dedicated to discovering, developing, and commercializing liquid-biopsy assays to detect cancer at its earliest stages. We employ a novel approach using readouts from individual extracellular vesicles. We are located at ABI-LAB in Natick, MA and are looking to expand our team by hiring enthusiastic and skilled scientists passionate about detecting cancer early, when it is most curable.

What’s in it for you?

In this role, you will work collaboratively with a highly motivated team of scientists to develop minimally invasive liquid biopsy tests for cancer diagnosis. Mercy BioAnalytics offers a truly exceptional work environment built on teamwork, mutual respect, and a mission-driven dedication to save lives and minimize suffering. Mercy offers a competitive pay and employee stock option plan, a medical benefits package including 100% paid health, vision, and dental care plans, flexible paid time off and sick time, a 401K plan, life insurance, plus other lifestyle benefits.

What will you be doing? (Scientist)

As a Scientist on the Mercy Bio R&D team, you will be working in a fast-pace laboratory environment, developing assays against multiple cancer types. You will also help execute large clinical studies using banked and/or prospectively collected human plasma samples. Throughout this process, our Scientists are expected and encouraged to contribute intellectually to assay development. By leveraging the perspectives and brilliance of every member or our team, we not only improve our technology but feel that this creates a stimulating and rewarding environment for everyone.

What are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have completed an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a Biology, Molecular Biology, Biological Engineering, or similar program. Similarly educated B.Sc.-level candidates who have a few years of research experience are also encouraged to apply, especially if this experience is in assay development. The candidate is expected to be fluent in standard molecular biology techniques, such as PCR, RT-PCR, immunoassays (such as ELISA), gel electrophoresis, and mammalian tissue culture. Experience with bioconjugation, size-exclusion chromatography, phage display, and protein engineering are not required but are desirable. Similarly, familiarity with lab-automation platforms is also a bonus.
