Mercy BioAnalytics, Inc. is a biotechnology company committed to reducing suffering and saving lives through the early detection of cancer. We are looking for a passionate individual to join our mission leading Marketing and Business Alliances for Mercy’s product and service portfolio.
This individual will play a critical role in establishing our position in the IVD landscape to a fully realized diagnostic product and service franchise across multiple disease categories. Responsibilities include guiding product strategy, development, and commercialization including market access, contextualized by market intelligence, all driven through a deep and direct understanding of IVD customer needs. You will apply your leadership skills, cross-functional influence, and domain expertise to enable full commercial realization of the IVD product strategy for the company, supported by engagement and collaboration with global thought leaders and through strategic partnerships with global Diagnostics and Pharma companies. The candidate is expected to have a thorough understanding of global market dynamics in our target Dx segments, and of the Mercy product portfolio positioned in the context of the competitive landscape. It is important that the candidate works well in teams and this position requires excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Leverage market intelligence and customer intimacy to co-create the IVD product and service development and commercialization roadmap to extend competitive differentiation, providing strategic direction to support prioritization of resources
- Responsible for business case development, customer product requirements, and product commercialization success, including go-to-market launch plans for the US and global IVD markets, beta testing, pricing and positioning, and channel strategies
- Responsible for development and execution of Mercy’s Market Access strategy, in partnership with Regulatory & Clinical Affairs, including CMS and private payor engagement, healthcare economic analysis etc
- Serve as the business lead for strategic partnerships with diagnostics and pharma companies and academic collaborators, ensuring partnerships are aligned with Mercy’s overall strategy, and agreements are structured to support Mercy’s business objectives
- Lead market readiness for Mercy’s IVD testing services including development of test requisition and test report templates
- Responsible for coordinating customer-facing positioning and messaging including press releases, social media, trade press, lay press, Mercy website, scientific conference engagement, training materials etc.
- Maintain robust understanding of IVD customer needs through regular, direct interaction with current and potential customers and thought leaders across all target segments and geographies
- Support interactions with regulatory agencies including development of product labeling
- Represent Mercy at scientific, medical, regulatory, business and other professional meetings
- Model and strengthen culture of high impact collaboration, working cross-functionally to expand and amplify the precision health ecosystem
Requirements
- Entrepreneurial drive to succeed – a high degree of self-motivation, with a proven track record for bringing diagnostic products from concept to commercialization
- Advanced degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or other life science such as Immunology; MBA strongly desired, but not required
- ≥10 years of direct product marketing experience in diagnostics or medical device industry; immunoassay experience strongly preferred; oncology experience preferred
- Demonstrated effectiveness in marketing, product management, and strategy leadership roles including leading market analysis, strategic planning, and new product development and commercialization
- Global perspective; experience with global launch and or regional launch of regulated products
- Experience in advanced technologies and product development, with domain expertise and deep market familiarity in proteomics technology, immunoassays and software in a regulated environment
- Excellent written and oral communication, collaboration and negotiation skills, with proven ability to be assertive while building productive cross-functional relationships; experience managing multiple stakeholders and resolving conflict within teams
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead through influence across the organizational matrix
- Excellent planning and organizational skills and attention to detail
- Passion for precision health, and an authentic appreciation for the Mercy mission with a desire to bring a collaborative spirit and strong relationship building, both internally and externally
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic innovation-oriented work environment
- Ability to travel up to 20%, both domestically and internationally
